noidea strange orange smell in the cockpit

    Hi everyone.

First of all, please understand my, not the best, lvl of english, I am Slovak.

Last nightshift pilot after last flight wrote issue about strange orange odor in the cockpit, but he told me, that it was like chemical origin and very strong, more than some orange juice. After 2 minutes it was gone, started when reached cruise altitude and it hapenned on this one flight only. As pilots told me, they are trained if they smell it during flight, they have to use oxygen and land immediately, due to it is toxic vapors of rain repelent. I didnt find anything in the AMM, TSM or anywhere, and nobody from our maintenance could tell me anything about this experience. Have someone of you such experience?
Aicraft is Airbus A320-232, interesting is also that 2 weeks ago it returned form 6C-check. So maybe there is really some hose or tube damaged after heavy maintenance.

    thanks for any sugestion.

B757 manual has warnings, not to touch or breath fumes from rain repellant.

A300 manual says rain repellant leakage will smell like pine, but there are no warnings.

as you can see on the pictures of FCOM, which I posted, there is: pine - non-toxic, orange peels - toxic. but nothing in manuals for A320. only statement, "during replacement or service, follow instructions of rain repelent manufacturer and local regulations." Nothing about specific smell. I mean, if pilot told me about this issue, I wanted to laugh first, that maybe there is some ilegal passenger in fwd avionic bay and eating oranges or so on. but then he showed me FCOM so it begun to be serious. But in AMM or TSM nothing, but maybe I am searching it wrong and someone with experience could find something what I dont and also maybe it will help you to share this experience.
