Default Jear Jet 25 B Door Pan and handle

    Hi,

Aviation student doing some work on a Lear jet. The pan and handle were off the aircraft. Trying to reinstall it but the Parts catalog is kind of confusing. Can anybody help me with this. Is there a video out there, that can show me how to put it back together?

    Thanks

You need the maintenance manual, and structural repair manual possibly, if the pan is installed with fasteners other than screws. The IPC gives you all the required parts and shows the stack up.

I agree, reassemble it using IPC and 43.13 for torques and such

This is the part I am having trouble with. I cant get this spring to sit properly over the clevis pin . The latch still feels sloppy and the IPC is kind of confusing !

You probably have to figure out how to install the spring so there is correct preload on it. Maybe a special tool is required? If there is a door handle install procedure in a manual, it should help you. Looks like the end of the spring on the left side is installed incorrectly, it should be in the groove, like the one on the right. Maybe the spring is shot.

The one on the right isn’t in a groove. The pic gives that illusion. Ordered a new spring so we’ll see how that goes
