    Default New guy reintroduction

    Hi all,
Just though I would reintroduce myself since I have been away from the forum for a few years. I am a 19 year proudly serving member of the United States Airforce. I have spent my entire AF career as an aircraft mechanic working a variety of air mobility aircraft to include C-141B, C-130H and C-17A. Most of my experience has been in inspection facilities and Aero/Repair (heavy maintenance i.e. flight controls, landing gears, and cargo ramp/door). A few years ago, I fell into the "I don't ever want to see or touch another aircraft when I get out" crowd, but in the last year of so as I get closer to retirement (in less than a year now), I am starting to change my mind. I am completing my A&P license soon and would like to find a job somewhere in the western US with either a cargo handling or fire tanker company. I look forward to browsing the forum to gain a better insight in to the civilian vs military maintenance world.

    Thanks again,
    Randy
