Default structures experience from Navy... Now what?

Hey guys, I'm sure there's plenty of people here that have served in the military who now have their A&P license, I was wondering... I'm getting out of the Navy and I have the required 18 month experience on structures, but I never touched an engine... I want to work as an apprentice on engines specifically since I have already completed the structures aspect of the license. Do you guys have any suggestions where I can look for an apprenticeship job on engines that'll take people with zero experience on engines? What did you guys do in this situation? Cheers!

Structures alone is not enough to test out. If you have no systems background than there's no way anyone would let you test out.

Third time my iPad reloaded the page and I've lost all that I wrote. I teach a prep course for the Army mechanics, getting ready to test. Give me a call at 785-761-5136, and I'll give you the "short" version.
